WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for you who are passionate about communication as a business enabler and who wants to lead, inspire and develop people. You are motivated to find better ways of working and you are open to change. Furthermore, you get energized by working both independently and interdependently with communication cross functions and you appreciate the mix of strategic thinking and to turn communication theory into practice. We believe that you have proven advanced training in communications or equivalent and 2-5 years of both external and internal communication experience. You understand local business issues, challenges and have experience working with strategic and tactical communication. Moreover, you have experience with leading in change and enabling others to lead with communication.

You have knowledge in following areas:

•a deep understanding of relevant business needs within specific areas within the specific topic area

•extensive knowledge of using insights to formulate communication activities to drive IKEA business and meet receiver needs on how to follow-up and evaluate communication activities

•extensive knowledge of how to lead communication by defining, planning, executing and follow-up communication to relevant stakeholders, always keeping co-workers informed, engaged and empowered

•extensive knowledge of digital communication channels, management and techniques

•up-to-date knowledge of the complete media landscape (including the latest trends in social media), activation and measurements

As a person you have the ability to comfortably support and influence senior business leaders and colleagues with the business goals and co-workers in focus. You have a proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary. You demonstrate IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions

You have the ability to understand the complexity of the IKEA business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business and you communicate in an inspirational way with the IKEA tone of voice, both verbally, visually and in writing. Furthermore, you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships. For this role, you need to be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose with this job is to develop better business results and enable transformation and growth of the IKEA business in the market, through world class communication. As a Communication Business Partner, you will lead effective communication both internally and externally and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders. The purpose with the position is also to drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values where our co-workers are informed, engaged and empowered.

You will:

•be a communication expert within assigned business area and a direct contact and support for communication needs and advice on effective choices within specific function group

•drive internal and external communication projects, taking different stakeholder perspectives

•build a deep understanding of business partner’s objectives in order to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes

•contribute to the communication strategic planning process to ensure appropriate buy-in and prioritization of resources

•content development & deployment: enable and accelerate digital delivery and a world-class experience Ingka in all digital touchpoints in the market

•execute effective internal and external communication and assist in the creation of prerequisites for our leaders and co-workers to be our best ambassador’s management

•contribute/secure the process for country on-duty phone and media product loans

•explore, develop and lead communication initiatives that will position business area in its respective eco-system and contribute to driving the desired business outcomes in alignment with the business plan

•co-opts business partners in Communications’ strategic planning process to ensure appropriate buy-in and prioritization of resources

•identify local strategic opportunities, threats and trends to develop and implement IKEA and Ingka’s digital communications in line with global guidelines

•create communication plans for all initiatives that clearly demonstrate the link between desired business outcome and chosen communications activities

In this role you will report to the Communication Operations Manager, Sandra Jakob.
