You see things a little differently. So do we. We believe that what you value is more important than what your CV says. We offer positions that will challenge your skills and let you grow. Come and see things a little differently with us.
To be successful in this role, you have a proven track record in complex investment transactions coupled with 5-10 years working experience in Transaction Services / Corporate Finance / M&A / investment banking / business development / Private Equity / strategy consultancy, preferably within an international and dynamic environment.
Thanks to your communication skills, you excel at building and maintaining internal and external business/investor/stakeholder relationships. You enjoy and have experience working on the various stages of the investment process (origination, business and financial analysis, due diligence co-ordination, valuation, legal documentation, structuring, negotiation, closing, asset management). You have intrinsic motivation to ‘dig deep’ and truly understand companies, financials, and their drivers.
You are a star in the area of Corporate Finance, M&A, investment banking and/or strategic consulting and you are passionate about our focus areas for our investments and acquisitions: Customer Fulfilment, Life @ Home Services, and Circularity. You are fluent in English (both spoken and written) and have a postgraduate university degree in business, economics or sciences.
You are a self-starter, demonstrate good judgment, high level of integrity, trustworthiness and maturity (independence); you can prioritize and take sound and common-sense decisions. You get energized by contributing to overall success and results through collaboration and get inspired by working together in an ever-changing complex, multi-dimensional, multicultural and multinational environment.
And, of course, you share and live the IKEA culture and values and have a genuine interest in home furnishing.
Ingka Investments’ mission is to lead with purposeful investments, enabling Ingka Group’s long-term growth and financial strength. We want to position Ingka Group as a unique, responsible and trusted investor. Within the Business Development Investments portfolio, the Investment Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of (minority) investments and acquisitions and, thereby, contributing to the medium- and long-term growth and profitability of the Ingka Group. From time to time, the Investment Manager will also support investments in our Venture & Growth Capital portfolio.
More specifically, this means you will:
• Actively collaborate with business representatives in order to support business development investments and acquisition projects, together with Senior Investment Managers in Ingka Investments and with representatives from the Ingka business areas (IKEA Retail, Market Support, Customer Fulfilment, Digital Unit etc.). • Support the development of the investment strategy and investable areas. • Support deal flow by building and maintaining internal and external networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders. • Analyse, select and prioritise investment opportunities. • Formulate investment proposals and recommendations for decision making by the relevant decision-making bodies, using the relevant templates. • Support and (when appropriate) lead deal execution (analysis, due diligence, business valuation, negotiations, closing). • Support portfolio management of minority investments (including financial, operational and risk reporting).
