WHO YOU ARE

At the MCDC (Market Customer Distribution Centre) in Itingen, we are responsible for customer orders in Switzerland order planning, picking and packing until delivering by truck or parcel.

Communication is a strategic and supportive resource for efficient leadership of the IKEA business and corporate communication within and from the IKEA Group. Communication supports us in reaching our business goals and in actively building long-term trust in IKEA and our home furnishing offer.

In this position you will optimize and ensure effective and professional communication towards our co-workers, building commitment and loyalty towards the IKEA brand. Support the organization with relevant and effective internal communication activities and opening and sharing climate where our co-workers are well informed and the IKEA culture is a living reality.


• You have strong communication skills and have preferably already gained experience in this environment.
• You are open-minded, self-driven, solution oriented and always striving to reach excellence in operations.
• You are interested in home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home - relates to the IKEA range.
• You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• You are eager to create togetherness.
• You are fluent in both German and English written and spoken.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifying information and communication needs on the site and act accordingly.
• Implementing, maintaining and securing the use of the communication channels on site level.
• Developing the local communication plan and calendar on site level (Based on the area input) and anchor it in the local organization.
• Supporting the co-workers and managers in internal communication activities.
• Being part of the local management team meeting and support leaders with communication.
• Participating and contributing to the action plan process on local site level.
• Promoting and improving communication skills among leaders and co-workers.
