Who you are

You have a passion for customer service and enjoy working as part of a wide and varied team. With great verbal and written communication skills you are able to greet all visitors with professionalism and care. You are not afraid of a busy work environment and are able to manage your workload and adhoc tasks. With previous experience in administrative tasks you are also able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and respond to and initiate procedures when required.

In addition to this you have a safety mindset and value a safe work environment and will be someone who can drive this focus in store. A security licence and current first aid certificate is required for this role. If you do not currently hold either of these you must be willing and able to attain one. 24-hour availability is required for this role, you will work a mixture of day, overnight & weekend hours.

Your responsibilities

Working as a Safety & Security Co-worker within the co-worker and visitor reception area, you will act as the face of IKEA to all those who enter our unit. This is a dynamic role, your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Be the first point of contact, managing visitors, contractors and co-worker access to and from the unit, and providing administrative support with tasks such as audits, incident reporting, database management and filing.
• Monitoring and reviewing CCTV, conducting investigations, responding quickly and efficiently to alarms and initiating emergency response procedures if required.
• Assist in ensuring the unit is compliant with all IKEA and local rules, guidelines and legislative requirements, in order to protect our assets and the IKEA brand.

Additional information

These opportunities are permanent full time or part time, contract range from 30-76 hours per/fortnight.
